Lifelong best friends Alexa and Katie are eagerly anticipating the start of their freshman year of high school. The pals confront a crisis when Alexa starts undergoing treatment for cancer that leaves them feeling like outsiders at a time when what seems to matter most is fitting in.

Alexa & Katie is an upcoming Netflix original sitcom. Matthew Carlson will serve as showrunner on the series, with thirteen episodes ordered by Netflix. The first season will be released on Netflix on March 23, 2018.
