Sonic the Hedgehog is an upcoming adventure comedy film produced and distributed by Paramount Pictures and based on the video game franchise published by Sega. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Patrick Casey, Josh Miller, and Oren Uziel, from a story by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser. It stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog and Jim Carrey as Sonic’s nemesis Doctor Robotnik, alongside James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Adam Pally, and Neal McDonough.
In the film, a small-town sheriff assists Sonic as he attempts to escape the government. The film is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2019.
